Vicki Vanatta brings a vast array of government relations experience to the firm.

 

She has more than 30 years of experience working with many facets of Oklahoma State Government, while being extensively involved in civic groups such as child advocacy, serving on the Board of Big Brothers & Sisters of Green Country, and the Oklahoma State Board of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).

 

Vicki's professional life in state government began in 1978 by working with the Oklahoma State Senate Chairman of the Committee on Aging. She was responsible for all committee action, including preparation of legislation, amendments, filing and reporting committee activity. Vicki oversaw constituent communications, coordination of legislative duties, including all senate committee activities.

 

Vickie's government experience includes working with the Attorney General of Oklahoma, working specifically in the preparation of death penalty cases in the appellate process;

the Speaker Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, organizing conference committee activities;

the Office of the State Auditor of Oklahoma, where she traveled throughout Oklahoma performing city and county audits and also with the Oklahoma’s Central Career Technology, as their Industry Public Relations and Legislative Liaison.

 

This position included promotion of Oklahoma’s only public statewide truck driving training program, developing and maintaining relationships with JTPA, and developing an apprentice program for the Federal Department of Labor.

 

She has also worked with the World Bank in Washington, D.C., to develop intern programs for the United State's trucking industry and with the Oklahoma State legislature on appropriations for the Central Career Technology Center.
